Issues
To provide uniform representation for the entire districtThe commissioner must represent everyone in the district equally. As your commissioner I will be responsive to all members of the district at all times not just during the election cycle. To bring the community back into the decision making processThe community needs to be in the forefront when projects are being planned or contemplated because when the project is finished, it is the community and its people that remain. As your commissioner I will actively be seeking your input. To promote more comprehensive planning for better management of growth and redevelopmentWith the community involved in the process the end result will be an area that meets the needs of both the business community and the residents of the area. I will be a commissioner who will put people first and make sure the communities’ voices are heard. To offer new, innovative ideas to address issuesSuch as transportation and traffic management, water conservation, and green space conservation and acquisition. We need new ways of looking at the problems which face our district. Yesterday’s solutions are not getting the job done when facing today’s problems. Innovation is key to finding new ways to serve the community without breaking the bank. There needs to be short, medium and long term plans that are realistic and obtainable. Ethics in governmentOur elected officials must remain above any issues that could appear to cause a conflict. As your commissioner any communications you have such as email lists will remain private and for the use they were intended. I will work with our State House and Senate members to make it illegal to do otherwise. |
